Gang youth pulling themselves up by their bootstraps!

Chicago companies are fighting gangs by investing in youth! In the West Austin neighborhood, a Jesuit priest's mission is to help students receive a quality education by being part of the funding process. Students earn 75% of their tuition by working one day a week and giving their paycheck to the school. In exchange for labor, the gang ravaged neighborhood has the commitment of Christopher Devron who is leading the charge to help his students break the poverty cycle at King Catholic High School. USA Today reports that the school is one of a network of 22 nation schools nation wide committed to helping inner city youth.
