The Summer Learning Gap

Did you know that test scores average at least one month lower when students returned to school in the fall than they did before summer break? But the news gets worse. Students who fall behind during summer vacation are less interested in getting a college education and more likely to drop out of high school than their peers who have continued to actively learn over summer vacation.
